The idea is to take everyday spaces, overlooked surfaces, and familiar city elements and test new visual directions — ways to modernise them, make them feel more playful, and bring a renewed sense of energy into the city.
Rather than treating design as something only reserved for galleries or large commercial projects, the series looks at how colour, typography, murals, graphics, and visual interventions can shift the atmosphere of public spaces and create stronger connections between people and place.
From cold walls and forgotten corners to public-facing buildings and walkways, each concept acts as a proposal for a more visually engaging Cork — one that feels creative, progressive, and culturally alive while still rooted in the character of the city itself.
